Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress from the United States. She is best known for portraying the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as an investor in venture capital. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has declared that she is Jewish and participates in Passover meals.
